I am saddened to see that people are still being lured into envelope stuffing "opportunities". This is a total scam!!! Its unfortunate but here is the deal with envelope stuffing. People are lured into these schemes with tempting false promises such as 'Would you stuff 1000 envelopes for $1000?' and asked to send money to a post office box in order to join the scheme. Instead of genuine work, all they receive is a set of instructions on how to duplicate the scheme. The only envelope stuffing that goes on is replying to orders from new victims. The only way you will find a position like this is most likely through a company that you already work for.......not on the internet. Please don't waste your time on this.
Also, there are still online companies promising to pay you to assemble their products from home......SCAM!!!!! Basically what happens is you pay them for a package of materials to assemble their products. When you attempt to return the completed merchandise for payment, they will tell you that what you have spent so much time on is not up to their "standards". This means you wasted your money and time for nothing!
Heres another tip about "Secret Shoppers". This is not necessarily a scam, but it is a definite waste of time. Unless you think it would be worth it to you to go to McDonalds, dine in alone for a minimum of 30 minutes, critique every aspect of every french fry napkin and salt packet, and complete about 45 minutes worth of paperwork after leaving, all for a free combo meal and $6. Might be for you.....but I found it to be a completely embarrasing waste of time! Not to mention, its very rare that you will find a job in your area.
Latest And Greatest Scam......
This one has been seen all over the classifieds lately and its not even legal!
Earn income working-at-home as a 3rd Party Tracer Processing Mortgage Refunds (helping the Federal Government return unclaimed refunds)!
A Typical Federal Tracer Ad: “A Government related home-based income program has been introduced to the general public. This is a work-at-home opportunity in which you can earn thousands of dollars per month working part time. This program is called The U.S. Government Refund Tracer Program. You will be assisting the Federal Government by processing mortgage refunds. No experience is necessary!”
Its a complete scam!!
One Tracer Scam charges $39.50 plus $3.50 for S&H. For your fee, you will receive a training manual and instructions on finding HUD refund recipients. You will earn money by contacting these recipients and then charging a fee to obtain the refund for them, a practice which is prohibited by the Federal Government. Furthermore, newcomers to this line of work usually lack access to information needed to succeed in the business. It is illegal for a tracer to tell a homebuyer that a fee is required in order to get a refund.
Once again ladies and gents......stay away from this!! The last thing you need is to wind up in jail!
Please stay away from this!!! I have something new that was brought to my attention by a lovely lady we will call Grace. She contacted me via email today to ask my advice about an ad she was considering answering for an at home position......and I am so thankful she did. Upon investigating it for her I was completely shocked to find what I did!
Long story short, these people claim to be an Asia based International middle-man trading company that needs help transferring payments from the USA, UK, and Canada. Supposedly it takes up to a month to process foreign checks and delays their business. So thats where you come in.....you simply receive the payments from their customers, deposit them into your personal bank account, and then send them a cashiers check or money order. In return you receive a commission.
Upon further review.........there are hundreds of thousands of ads just like this one. The money orders and checks you are receiving from their "customers" are counterfiet!! Basically, you help them steal from you and our country. And where do you think that leaves you when the bank realizes your deposit was counterfiet??
So please stay away from anything even remotely resembling this. The last thing you want is to be scammed and wind up in jail!! Thanks so much for finding this one Grace!!!

My best piece of advice - DO NOT FALL FOR "DATA ENTRY" POSITIONS!!! There is no such thing. The sites that promote this are actually trying to get you to do internet ads for them via money out of your pocket. The only thing is they don't teach you how to really make money doing it. I am currently looking at guides to internet advertisement and will update you when I have found the one that works.
